Operations Systems Assessment

Two weeks with the people who take orders, pick, ship and invoice. You get a map of every system and hand-off, the quick wins, and a 12-month roadmap with a price on each line. It is yours whether or not we build any of it.

Most operations businesses know something is wrong between their systems but cannot point at it. The assessment is designed to point at it: which hand-offs cost hours, which ones cost customers, and which fixes pay back inside a year.

We do it by walking the order from the moment it arrives to the moment the cash lands, with the people who touch it, in the systems they actually use.

What you get

A report you could hand to any vendor.

Systems map

Every system, file and spreadsheet in the order-to-cash path, who owns each fact, and where it is re-keyed.

Hand-offs costed

Hours per week and error rate for each manual step, from the people doing it rather than from a guess.

Quick wins

The changes worth making next month, usually in the settings and reports you already own.

12-month roadmap

Projects in priority order, each with a fixed price, a timeline and the payback we expect.

Buy versus build

Where a package, a module or custom software fits, with three-year costs for each.

Database check

Version, backups and support status of the SQL Server under your ERP, because it is usually in the path.

How it runs

Two weeks, four steps.

Kick-off call

30 min

Who to talk to, what to export, and which systems we need read access to.

Walk the order

days 2 to 5

Intake, inventory, fulfilment and invoicing with the people who do them, on site or over a shared screen.

Map and cost

days 6 to 9

Systems map, hand-off costs, options and prices drafted and checked with you.

Readout

day 10

The report presented to the owner and ops lead, with the roadmap and what we would do first.

Common questions

Before you book.

Is the fee really credited?

Yes. If you go ahead with any project the report prices within 90 days, the $4,500 comes off the first invoice.

What do you need access to?

Read access to the ERP or accounting system and the warehouse system, a few exports, and time with the people who use them. Nothing is changed during the assessment.

What if the answer is that we should buy a package?

Then the report says so, with the shortlist and what the integration to your other systems would cost. We earn nothing from any vendor.

We are not in Wisconsin. Does that matter?

No. Most assessments are remote. We come on site for the walk-through when the warehouse is within a day of Madison.

Two weeks from now you will know what to fix first.

Book a 30-minute call and we will confirm the assessment fits.
